Happy 2010! I can’t wait for the fourth of july. I loved this article that you wrote. I’ve bookmarked your site and shared it on my facebook. I hope you don’t mind! thanks!

  2. For some reason this all sounds familiar to me. Clearly Kanye is a Depche Mode fan. “Personal Jesus” I admire Kanye’s appreciation of all types of music. What I don’t appreciate is him singing through the entire album. I do believe that his creative spirit is raging becasue of the pain from his mother’s death. I must say this is not the best or last of Kanye. This album will be noted as significant work.

  3. Ron Acosta says:

The message of the song is something serious. However, I do not like the song that much like everyone else. Maybe it will grow on me.

  4. Justice says:

Sometimes it takes some serious life experiences to not only humble you, but bring the best out of you. Great song, form of expression, emotion, and most of all great message. Stay strong, and live it to the limit and love it a lot!!!

  5. MAXMAN357 says:

    It’s just a song! Very repetitive…

  6. aisha says:

Kanye did great with that song. However, I am sitting here listening to web music and a song by the poet SAUL WILLIAMS comes on and its the exact flow and style of music as that Love Locked Down song.
Someone is a copycat and as soon as I check out the producers behind these 2 songs I will have a better insight at one of these artists….. Saul’s song is called BANGED AND BLOWN THROUGH.

  7. Chuck says:

Hey clearly he is still dealing with the loss of his mother. I cannot say i knowthe feeling b/c my mother is still here. He is a talented brother and I also pray for him that he can deal with the loos of his mother. I was not impressed with the song but totally understand what he is saying by Love Lockdown! Kanye, keep expressing yourself through the music!

  8. kortne says:

Clearly we know that Kanye is not going to be a singer! I don’t think he’s trying to be. I think he was simply trying to express the song how it came to him. I loved it! I pray for him everytime I think about him. GO HEAD, YE!! The brotha is Baaaaaaad! okay?!

  9. Abdullah says:

Loved it! I believe he is the consumate artist, HipHop and Black America should recognize and appreciate that we’ve got another Genius. As far as his ’singing’ I believe this is an effective and soon to become exploited technique for rappers and other artist not blessed with pretty singing voices. It was essentially a Long Hook, and he pulled it off. If you don’t dig his art, put me up on game, please.

  10. Tiiz says:

Might’ve liked it if he wasn’t singin’.

  11. Karma says:

LOVED IT…HE IS AMONG THE GREATS WITH HIS CONSTANT CREATIVITY!!!
